Happy Thanksgiving!

What are you thankful for today? As you might expect, the first to come to my mind is my kids and beautiful wife. I am also thankful for things like our warm home, functioning cars, and good job. There is something more important than these people and things, though. I have recently started teaching the lessons at a youth group in our town and have been explaining the truths that the bible teaches to these kids. Doing this has renewed my amazement at the love of our Lord. The fact that he loved us enough to choose us before the foundation of the world, sent His son to die to pay for our sins, ressurected Him and credited us with His righteousness, and promises us eternal life with Him in heaven is a far greater blessing than my beautiful wife and healthy children. This Thanksgiving I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for all the spiritual blessings he has blessed us with as well as my family and other material blessings, and praise him for His lovingkindness.
