Prayer Request - Surgery

Tomorrow morning (3/14/06) is the big day. Conlin will be going to Children's Hospital and having hernia (or is it hisnia?) repair surgery. He had 3 almost from birth and had them repaired. One reherniated and was re-repaired, and now the other 2 have reherniated. When the one was re-repaired, some reinforcing mesh was added. That same mesh will be added to the other two tomorrow. The question is why is he reherniating at all? One of the hernias that he has is an umbilical one, and they usually close on thier own without surgery. So, the fact that his needed repaired and has reherniated is rather odd. While they are "in there" repairing things, they are going to take some tissue in order to perform some tests on it and determine if there is a root cause for this recurrance.

All that being said, my purpose for this post is to ask you to pray for our son. We hope that all will go well, the hernias will be repaired and not reherniate again, the tests will find the cause of the problem, and that the problem will be curable. Most of all, though, pray that the Lord's will be done. For "we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." We hope that our Lord Jesus Christ will draw you closer to Him in prayer as you pray for our son (and us, too).
