This past weekend, we took a short trip to Morgantown, WV to see Shawna's Kelley relatives. Her Grandpa had surgery on his ankle (again) and so her aunt Cindy, cousin Kelley, Dad, and Terry were all there for a visit. First thing, Grandma Kelley pulls out a little gift for each of the kids. Conlin is seen here in his new hat. It will go nicely with his bomber jacket, don't you think?
In this second picture you can see Conlin loving to walk with his cart. He did quite a bit of it that day and you can see Cindy giving him a hand keeping on the straight and narrow.
He is especially smiley in this picture because he is "making eyes" at his mommy! Tonight, when I got home from work, I was playing with him and his cart again and he was just loving it. Those of you who know Conlin and have heard him laugh know that he makes a sort of rumbly giggle sound instead of the typical ha ha. But tonight I was crawling along next to him as he walked with his cart, and he was laughing so hard that it grew from his giggle into a long haaa haaa haaa. He could barely walk he was laughing so hard. It was quite contagious and made me laugh pretty hard myself. As you can see in this next picture, he just loves to stand and play. We have observed him forgetting him self and picking things up with both hands to bang them and not realizing he was free standing. We think he will be walking soon too. Alina really hasn't done much walking since her first Autonomous Ambulation. She is sticking to the old crawl. Anyway, back to the WV visit. We got lots of pictures of Conlin playing and crawling and walking, but not too many of Alina.
She was busy clinging to mom or dad and whining. She has been pretty "strange" (as my mom calls it) around strangers lately. I'm not quite sure how to break her of that yet, other than hanging out with strangers a lot. So, one of the only pictures we got of her was when she had finally fallen asleep for her nap.
It was at this time that we discovered that she was within reach of Grandma's chrystal on a nearby dresser, as you can see in the picture, strewn about in her bed.Well, we hope all our readers are doing well. We do encourage you to post comments or email us and keep in touch.

Don't most babies go through a "clinging phase"? Before they loved going to nursery and then one week they start balling.
Yes, I think it is quite common.
