Ila Finds Her Thumb

This weekend I went to get Ila out of the pack-n-play when we were visiting some of Shawna's family and watched Ila trying to suck on her hand and suddenly discovered the contentment that just the thumb can bring. Since then we frequently find her enjoying this digit. Just as a point of reference, Niamh also found enjoyment in sucking his thumb when he was Ila's age. After hearing many horror stories of parents trying all sorts of things to break their kids of thumb sucking we were somewhat concerned that Niamh would have such an addiction. However, he quit before he was two years of age without a single prompting from his Mommy or Daddy. We hope Ila will do the same, but we'll see.
