First Bike Ride

These three components are the start of a very fun first bike ride with Daddy. The final ingredient...Cooperative Children. Don't let their smiles fool you. Their expressions may have been filled with nothing but smiles & excitement as they are in this thrilling anticipatory phase of something new. But their dad was only able to initiate the ride up the road for ~3 blocks and upon the return, the kids learned how close they were to each other. Both of them really enjoy their personal space and will fight for every inch when there is a threat by the other sibling. Dane said there was screams and arms were flying; it just gets ugly sometimes :-) Needless to say, we will have to help them learn to love this activity until they can carry their own. Don't worry fellow blog readers, there will be a second bike ride!
