Welcome to the Land of MiniVans

This last Tuesday we were praising God that we finally sold our Jetta. We have been trying to selling off and on since this last summer. We finally found a buyer and got a fair price for it. Our plan was to sell our Jetta and buy a minivan without spening any extra money, and if possible pocket a little of the money we got out of the Jetta. For a while, we didn't think it was ever going to happen, but God has blessed us and we were able to sell it. Then, in the next few days we called all the used car dealers in our area to see what they had on their lots that fit the bill of what we were looking for (GM, 2000 or newer, not too expensive, etc.). We were suprised to find that there were not very many that fit the bill. In fact we ended up only going to look at one which was the right price and had more bells and whistles than we would have asked for. So, Saturday, we bought it. (I guess that money was burning a hole in our pockets). Our little plan worked. We were trying to be as good of stewards of God's money as we could by not getting a car loan to get something newer or nicer and just using what God provided and we were able to even save a little of what we got out of the Jetta.

Interspersed here are a few pictures of the kids checking things out inside.

We are both very excited about this. We take a good number of multi-hour road trips and everytime we take one, and Shawna has to get up on her knees on her seat to help the kids with something and gets woozy from car sickness she turns back around and says, "we need a minivan!!"
