Visitors

Our friend Beth (from New Hampshire) and her superdog Clover (also from New Hampshire) came to our house for a long weekend visit this last weekend. Beth (and Clover) are good friends of ours that we met when we all lived in West Virginia. Beth and Clover moved away from Morgantown about the same time we did. Beth and Shawna spent most of the day Saturday garage saling. Beth is 6 months pregnant and needed some baby stuff, so they went out and got some great deals. Beth went home with a full car and still had money in her pocket (you know how much baby stuff is!)!

One night we sat out in the back yard to feed the kids and let them play with one of the items their mommy "scored" at the yard sales. You can see Conlin playing on it here.

Oh and you can see one of Conlin's new tricks here too. We handed him his bottle while he was standing and we let go of him and the bottle and he just kept standing. Last night, he was sitting drinking it and just decided to stand for a bit. Another thing he has done recently is take a couple steps on his own. He has also begun to do the sign for "please."

Alina is making the sign for "please" for everything now, not just food. She has also been doing "all done" and "more" in her highchair. She has also been ambulating independantly between us with a little coaxing, but has also just walked to us from other objects a few times too.

Both of the kids are also begining to mimic the sounds we are making. They say bu-- for bus, do- for dog, and Alina says du-- for duck. So, we are seeing a lot of new advancements and it is quite fun.
