River Trip

Ever since we moved here I have been seeing a creek nearby that I would like to try kayaking down, but most of the time it is too low to navagate. It has rained a lot around the area all week this week and the water level was up. So, a friend of mine from work and I went down yesterday.
It was probably the best trip I have ever been on in our boats. It started out pretty flat and smooth with a little riffle here and there, but then it got into class II and II rapids that were just plain fun.
The water level was not super high since the rain had stopped a couple of days earlier, so there was some time spent dodging rocks and getting unstuck, but it was never so bad that we had to get out of our boats to do it. It was a beautiful sunny day approximately 80°F. It was very comfortable since a large canopy of trees mostly shades the creek most of the time. These are a few of the pictures from the trip.
