Emily

I wanted to post a small update regarding Emily. Today, was her first full day without her mom in this world. I was Ooooo Soooo blessed to spend the day with this special girl. She is filled with the light of Jesus and spent the day sharing with me things regarding her mom and not just things to do with her passing. There was no crying from her today, but only joyous recall of things her and her mom did, her moms favorite things, or what her mom might think of what we were doing at that moment. I want to thank you all for your continued prayers for Emily and her family as they proceed through the funeral which will conclude on monday as well as six months from now when it might be even worse as their whole dynamics change. This evening we spent some time making a stone that she will be able to put at her mother's grave and one for her to keep. On her mom's stone was "I love you mommy!" and her stone which was made with the excess, she wrote, "Have fun" and if there had been enough room she would have inserted "in HEAVEN." What a blind faith in knowing that her mother is resting in a better place. She is quite the witness/example for Christ that I would only hope to be able to demonstrate not just inwardly but outwardly to others. I know her tears will come and she even says that she hates to cry especially around others. She needs prayer for her to be able to grieve in a healthy manner and encouraged to do so by those whom she is surrounded by. From what I gather in her family she will not really be surrounded by Christians except for her brother who does know the Lord.
